THE BAHAMAS RELIEF PROJECT

How to Connect

We have people on the ground monitoring and ministering! Only one of our churches suffered minimal water damage. The rest were spared like the rest of Nassau, and are rolling up their sleeves to help their relatives, neighbors and friends from the other islands!

Also assisting with this mammoth task are dozens of volunteer organizations, NGOs, and faith-based organizations who all help with the distribution of food, water, medical care and other necessities in those communities most affected.

The Women’s Home and Overseas Missionary Society (WH&OMS) is a registered Non-Profit Organization of The Bahamas Red Cross Society and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

The A.M.E. Zion Church and Global Missions are also Registered 501(c)(3) organizations. All donations are tax deductible

Your Donation's Impact

The Board of Bishops of the A.M.E. Zion Church stood at the ready to assist in coordinating efforts from their Episcopal areas.

  • Dr. Dwight Cannon has already purchased a freezer for the Holy Trinity Church from our Global Missions Department!

  • We wish to thank the C.M.E. Church for their immediate contribution of $15,000.

  • Senior Bishop Lawrence Riddick and Bishop Sylvester Williams, Sr. Chairman of their Disaster Relief fund were the kind hearted ambassadors!

  • Senior Bishop Adam J. Richardson of the A.M.E. Church has offered to share usage of sea planes and other transport equipment from the staging area in the Eleventh Episcopal District. They have established a distribution center at their church in Freeport!

We are grateful for our Ecumenical partners! We all must be aware that this has to be a long term commitment from the world community! And we encourage the continued support and commitment to the complete restoration of these devastated islands!

Thank you for doing what Zion does in time of need! We Pray and Stay until the need is over. Please pray for families that are still searching for loved ones, and those without any support system to rebuild their lives! We believe that God will strengthen our hands!!

Sincerely,

Bishop and Mrs. Dennis V. Proctor
and the North Eastern Episcopal District
